Just a little poem about a boy who never realized she was in love with a girl until it was too late.

Just a little poem for the boy,

Who never realized she was his joy.

Blinded by his own conceit,

He lost her in a moment of deceit.

She loved him more than he could know,

But he let his ego run the show.

Never took the time to see,

The love that was right in front of thee.

He thought he had her in his grasp,

But his ego was a heavy task.

He let his pride get in the way,

And now she’s gone, no more to stay.

He thought he was the catch of the day,

But he let his chance just slip away.

Now he’s left with nothing but regret,

And a heart that he can’t seem to forget.

He never took the time to see,

The love that was waiting patiently.

He took for granted what he had,

And now his heart is feeling sad.

But now he’s learned his lesson well,

That pride can lead to love’s farewell.

He’s realized what he’s lost, And he’ll pay any cost.

To win her heart back once again,

And make her feel like a queen.

He’ll shower her with love and care,

And show her how much he really does care.

He’ll never let his ego rule,

And treat her like a precious jewel.

He’ll cherish her for all her worth,

And show her that he truly learned his worth.

So boys, take heed of this little rhyme,

And don’t let your pride lead you to your demise.

Take the time to cherish what you’ve got,

And love with all that you have, with no second thought.

For love is a precious thing indeed,

And it’s something that we all should heed.

Don’t let it slip away like a toy,

Or you’ll end up like that lost boy.

Be smarter than that boy, and join Medium below
