Instructions:

Instructions:

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onions, carrots, and jalapeño until the onions become translucent.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in the vegetable broth and add the lentils.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the lentils are tender.
  5. Stir in the ground cumin and smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve piping hot.
