These Poems Are Lies
Some call it post-truth. For others, it is simply a lie. But there is no doubt that it can be the inspiration for a literary work. That’s why I ask you, reader, to enjoy these poems inspired by lies.
The Gossip
Tons of gossip mess up with your soul,
Altering your vision of the world,
Spreading rumors like wildfire,
Until truth is lost and lies are unfurled.
But do not let the noise drown out your voice,
For you are stronger than the words of others’ choice,
Stay true to yourself and your own heart,
And don’t let the gossip tear you apart.
Rise above the chaos and find your peace,
For the truth lies within and will never cease,
Let go of the drama and the pain,
And embrace the love that will always remain.
Tons of gossip may come and go,
But you are the master of your own show,
Keep your head up high and your spirit bright,
And you will conquer all with your own light.
What is truth in the end?
Is truth something untouchable?
Or can it be swiftly modified?
A question we all ask ourselves,
As our beliefs are often clarified.
The world is full of different views,
And what’s true to one may not be to you,
But do not let that discourage you,
For truth is what you make it, it’s true.
Stay open-minded and seek the facts,
And don’t let your judgment be swayed by acts,
For truth is something that is earned,
And it’s up to you to keep it unburned.
Is truth something untouchable?
Or can it be swiftly modified?
It’s up to you to decide and discern,
And let your own truth be your guide.
Clear From Lies
Through the haze of lies and deceit,
I found my way to a place of clarity,
Where the truth shines like the sun,
And the darkness fades into obscurity.
It may have taken some time to see,
Through the web of falsehoods that entrapped me,
But now that I’ve found my way out,
I can see the beauty in my own clarity.
For the truth has set me free,
And I can finally breathe,
A weight lifted from my chest,
As I step into the light and leave the rest.
So let the lies fade away,
For I have found a better way,
With a clear mind and a hopeful heart,
I will move forward and make a fresh start.
The Heart Of a Liar
In the heart of a liar, aching pain lives,
A burden heavy that they cannot give,
For each lie they tell, a piece of their soul,
Is lost in the void, and cannot be made whole.
They may try to hide behind their facade,
But the pain they feel is an ever-present nod,
A reminder of the truth that they conceal,
And the wounds they inflict that will never heal.
But even in the heart of a liar,
There is hope for the flames to expire,
For the truth has a way of breaking through,
And bringing light to the darkest hue.
So let us not judge the liars we know,
For their pain may run deep and never show,
But instead, let us offer compassion and care,
And help them find their way to a truth that is fair.
Aching After The Lies
The heart aches after being deceived,
A pain that cannot be easily relieved,
For trust is a fragile thing,
Broken by lies that make it sting.
The wounds may heal, but the scars remain,
A constant reminder of the hidden pain,
And the memories that haunt the mind,
Of the trust that was lost and left behind.
But with time, the heart can mend,
And learn to trust again, and find a friend,
Who will treat it with love and care,
And help it heal and learn to dare.
For the heart may ache after being deceived,
But it has the power to forgive and believe,
And find a way to love once more,
And open the door to a brighter shore.
Wanting To Believe
Wanting to believe in someone,
Is a hope that burns like the sun,
A desire to trust and hold dear,
The person we want to be near.
But when doubts and fears arise,
It’s hard to see through the disguise,
And find the truth that lies beneath,
The words and actions that we breathe.
Yet still we yearn to have faith,
In the ones we hold in high rate,
And hope that they will prove us right,
And banish darkness with their light.
For to believe in someone is to give,
A piece of our heart, a reason to live,
And though the risk may be great,
It’s a chance we’re willing to take.
So let us hold on to hope,
And trust in the ones who help us cope,
For with belief comes love and grace,
And a brighter tomorrow to embrace.
Why Do You?
Why do you spread gossip,
If life is already so hard?
Why add more pain and sorrow,
To an already heavy heart?
Do you not see the damage you do,
To those whose reputations you slew,
With your words that cut like a knife,
And your deeds that ruin lives?
Why not choose kindness instead,
And lift up those who have been misled,
By the lies and rumors you have spread,
And help them heal from the hurt they’ve been fed?
For gossip only feeds the darkness,
And brings us further from our own happiness,
It poisons our minds and souls alike,
And leads us down a path we cannot rightly abide.
So let us choose to be better,
To rise above the hurt and the chatter,
And spread love and light instead,
To those who need it most, who have been misread.
Let us be the change we want to see,
And live a life of integrity,
Where our words and actions align,
And we leave behind the gossip and the lies.
For life is already so hard,
And we all carry a heavy burden in our heart,
So let us choose to ease each other’s pain,
And spread love and kindness in its refrain.
Why do you spread gossip, If life is already so hard?
Let us choose to lift each other up,
And create a better world in our regard.
