The Promise

Photo by Teemu Paananen on Unsplash

Then, another beat skips my heart.

An innocent desire that lights up the whole town.

Little glitter drops fall from the sky.

Golden skies are opening up above you.

The innocent is returning to her home.

Tattered ink painting the city with green tones.

The promise still lingers in the air.

Then, another beat skips my heart.

I realize I'm still alive.
