Instructions:

For the Tart Crust:

  1. In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together egg yolk and ice water.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the food processor and pulse until the dough comes together.
  5. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough and press it into a tart pan.
