Love’s Lipstick Marks: A Story of Waiting and Reunited Love
Hope you enjoy this little story
Marta left lipstick marks printed all over her skin; almost by accident, she made him hers. It was a game she played, leaving marks of her love all over him, and he never seemed to mind. He was her canvas, and she was his muse.
They had met on a summer day, under the bright blue sky. She was wearing a sundress, and he was lost in the music coming from his headphones. They collided, and she fell into his arms. It was then that they knew they were meant to be together.
From that day on, they spent every moment together, exploring the city, trying new foods, and laughing until their stomachs hurt. They were each other’s happiness, and nothing could come between them.
As time passed, their love grew stronger. They shared a home, a life, and their love. Every morning, Marta would wake up early and leave a little note on his pillow, telling him how much she loved him. Every night, they would fall asleep in each other’s arms, feeling the warmth of their love enveloping them.
But one day, everything changed. Marta came home to find him gone, his side of the bed cold and empty. She searched the house, but he was nowhere to be found. The notes on his pillow went unanswered, and the once-bustling home was now eerily quiet.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Marta searched for him, but there was no sign of him anywhere. She was lost without him, and the lipstick marks she left on her skin were the only reminder of their love.
Then, one day, she received a letter in the mail. It was from him, and it was the only communication she had received from him since he disappeared. In it, he explained that he had to leave, that he needed to find himself and figure out who he was without her.
Marta was devastated, but she understood. She knew that sometimes, love needed space to grow, to flourish. She took a deep breath, wiped away her tears, and made a decision. She would wait for him, for as long as it took.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Marta continued to leave lipstick marks on her skin, a reminder of the love they once shared. And then, one day, he returned. He stood on the doorstep, looking at her with tears in his eyes.
He explained that he had been lost, that he needed time to figure things out, but that he never stopped loving her. Marta hugged him tightly, feeling the warmth of his embrace once again. They were together again, and nothing else mattered.
They spent the rest of their days exploring the world together, leaving lipstick marks all over each other’s skin. Marta knew that their love was worth waiting for, that sometimes love needed time and space to grow. But in the end, it was always worth it.
