There are many ways of loving yourself and others.
What she wanted
She just wanted to run away from all the pain of her past, to be able to find something similar to happiness. They made her feel as if her life was something disposable, something no one cared about. But she grew tired of feeling that way. No matter how many times she had cried, her soul ached for someone who really loved her, just the way she was; with no makeup and messy hair. But as time passed by, that seemed more and more like an impossible dream. Yet, a young woman like her wasn’t made to give up so easily. She knew that as long as her heart was still beating, everything would be ok.
Someone
Nobody expected it, but then, the lonely girl found someone who understand her. A kiss; the sweet embrace she always dreamed of. At first, she tried to stay away from him. Yes, every single inch of her body craved his, but she was afraid of hurting someone as wonderful as him. For a lot of people, love is nothing but a selfish kind of desire, but she wanted something different. The young woman wanted to be sure that she wasn’t forcing him to love her out of pity. So, she started working on herself. Exercise, a better diet, drinking more water, and more importantly, working on her self-worth. She came out of her comfort zone, in order to heal her broken soul. He told her not to worry, that he would be here to hold her hand.
Entwined
Two bodies entwined in the middle of the deep night. No more fears or shyness. Nothing but love. She had no need of hiding her scars anymore. Sweet and raw, just like a storm that shakes your life up. She closed her eyes and let herself go. His hug made her feel alive again, and he… just smiled, feeling like the luckiest man in the world. It wasn't perfect, but it felt alright. It felt like home.
