In My Universe
This is a personal poem, inspired by a Depeche Mode song (read until the end to know which one)
In my particular universe,
The distant stars shine brighter, the planets traverse
Their paths with a grace coming from the divine,
The most perfect cosmic symphony, a dance so fine.
In my universe, the moon glows so bright,
A silver orb, a beacon of light,
It illuminates the paths we take,
A guide that leads us through the darkness, awake.
In my universe, the sky’s so blue,
An empty canvas so vast, a dream come true,
It’s a painting of beautiful colors that never fade,
A masterpiece of beauty that forever pervade.
In my universe, the birds sing so sweet,
Their tender melodies fill the air, a cheerful treat,
The rustling leaves, the gentle caress of the breeze,
A calm lullaby that puts my mind at ease.
In my universe, the oceans violently roar,
Their waves crash upon the shore,
A lasting reminder of the power so grand,
A strong force of nature that forever stands.
In my universe, the mountains rise,
Their peaks so high, a sight to surprise,
They reach up to the sky so clear,
A symbol of strength, a sight so dear.
In my universe, the forests thrive,
Their beauty so lush, a place to thrive,
The rustling leaves, the birds that loudly chirp,
A perfect symphony of nature, a place of self-worth.
In my universe, the flowers bloom,
Their petals so soft, their colors consume,
A fragrant delight, a sight to behold,
A garden of Eden, a story untold.
In my universe, the people are kind,
Their hearts so warm, their love combined,
A tapestry of cultures, a celebration of life,
A harmony of souls, a world without strife.
In my universe, the possibilities are endless,
A canvas of opportunities, a chance to progress,
A world of dreams, a life full of hope,
A reality that’s crafted, a world that’s a scope.
In my universe, the future is bright,
A promise of change, a chance to ignite,
A world of the most tender love, a world of peace,
A world that’s united, a world that will never cease.
In my universe, I find my peace,
A sanctuary of calm, a place of calm release,
A world that’s totally mine, a world that’s true,
A universe of the purest form of wonder, a world so new.
So in my universe, I’ll peacefully live the rest of my days,
With love in my heart, with hope ablaze
, I’ll cherish the moments, I’ll seize the day,
For in my universe, I’ll always find my way.
