Forbidden But True

Our love may be forbidden,

But what I feel for you is real,

A love that cannot be hidden,

A love that I cannot conceal.

They say that love has no boundaries,

But for us, there are rules to obey,

Society may not see our love as a foundry,

But I know that we will find a way.

Our love may be like a rose,

Beautiful, but guarded by thorns,

We may face disapproving foes,

But we won’t let them blow our love’s horn.

The world may judge us harshly,

But they do not know how we feel,

We’ll keep our love burning brightly,

And make sure it’s never concealed.

They say that love is blind,

But our love sees everything,

We may be a love that’s hard to find,

But our bond is stronger than anything.

So let them try to tear us apart,

We’ll hold onto our love tight,

Our love may be forbidden,

But it will keep burning bright.

For what we have is a love that’s true,

A love that cannot be denied,

We’ll keep our love shining through,

For in each other’s arms, we’ll reside.
