Three little poems about the fakeness of luxury

The Showers

Drinking champagne to forget that bitter pain.

Her life was about to turn around and she knew it.

She sold her mortal soul for a little bit of fame.

That young lady wants to drown in pleasure.

Floating into an empty space, she dances.

A mortal soul wanting to feel divine tonight.

Drop by drop, moment by little moment.

Spinning all over the big room over and over.

No one can see her bitter tears, no one cares.

They keep getting high in the dirty bathroom.

But as long as she looks beautiful, everything will be ok.

A Plastic Love Promise

They love each other, just for the pictures.

As long as they look happy, it is all that matters.

Make up, and lies of the prettiest kind, they are everything.

Deep inside, they despise each other, but must fake love.

Glitter dreams and empty kisses all over the broken skin.

No one can see the multiple scars they hide.

No one can see how fake is their plastic kind of love.

Fading tears that the camera fails to notice everyday.

A broken glass the maid is going to try to hide.

As long as they look perfect in the picture, that's all that matters.

The rings mean nothing, when there is no truth to be told.

The Virtual Illusion Unveiled

In pixels and filters, a world is portrayed,

Where illusions dance and facades are displayed.

Social media’s realm, a curated display,

Masking reality in a captivating way.

A tapestry of likes and virtual applause,

Concealing the truth behind perfect flaws.

Filtered smiles hide the tears that fall,

While captions echo a scripted call.

We scroll through the feeds, a digital parade,

Ensnared in a web where truth starts to fade.

Behind polished profiles and photos so grand,

The authenticity slips through our hands.

But in the depths of this virtual abyss,

We yearn for connection, for something amiss.

For beyond the screens and artificial haze,

We crave genuine moments that truly amaze.

Let’s break free from the chains that confine,

Unveil the truth and let authenticity shine.

For in real moments, unfiltered and true,

We find the beauty that social media misconstrues.

So let’s reclaim our humanity’s song,

In a world where true connections belong.

See through the illusions, embrace what is real,

And let genuine connections be the ideal.
