Dancing Barefoot

Dancing barefoot in the street.

The blood runs faster.

The tears dry faster.

Dancing among the rain.

I learned how to survive.

Nobody held my hand,

Yet, I stood tall.

Call me names, I don't care,

Break my bones, I will heal.

Dancing barefoot I discovered myself.

I don’t owe anybody anything.

I am free to be whatever I want.

Nobody can hold me down.
