Almost there

A poem using as a prompt: the pace of life

Photo by Jeremy Bishop on Unsplash

It keeps moving, no matter what you do.

Gentle wind taking you to a better place.

Or vicious war pinning you down.

No use in fighting against gravity.

One day, the tears will dry on their own.

Take a breath and go ahead. You can do it.

There is still a chance for you to survive.

Ten more seconds until you reach freedom.

One more day of fighting to see brighter days.

There is no need to fade away so soon.

Believe it or not, you are almost there.

Got inspiration from this piece by the amazing Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)
